Ciao Ristorante, KL. The minute I reached this place for a coursemate’s wedding reception, I was initially perplexed by the complexity of this venue, the oldest Italian restaurant in KL. However, as I moved on closer inside, I realised ‘WOW, what a venue for a Malaysian wedding reception!’ A quick Google search tells me that this restaurant opens from 12pm to 2pm and then again at 6pm to 10.30pm. The canopy can take up to 300 guests. Other options include the Glass House with the capacity of as many as 80 people in the style of a theatre as well as the Main Entrance and Bar. Located at Jalan Kampung Pandan off Jalan Tun Razak, the venue had a dreamy and rustic atmosphere that added to the elegance and class of the ‘appreciation dinner’ as my coursemate put it J Both the cosy atmosphere and authentic Italian cuisine definitely left me mesmerized.

5) Private Islands

Dreaming of a destination wedding? Song Saa Private Island is the place to be! The Cambodian private island can cater to your needs - be it a humble ceremony to a complete island buyout for as many as 70 guests. Ceremonies can be as diverse as a traditional wedding ceremony to a Buddhist blessing ceremony. If you’re adventurous enough, you can opt for a fusion of both. However, do note that celebrations held here are commitment ceremonies and not legally binding weddings. Anxious about your hair and make-up? Fret not. The team at Song Saa Private Island will help out. Additionally, the Executive Chef will assist with menu creation for the perfect wedding banquet, as well as the wedding cake to make the ceremony an unforgettable one. Since Song Saa Private Island collaborates with well-known local and international photographers and videographers, you need not worry about getting the perfect photo or video to commemorate your big day. Not forgetting flower choices: frangipani, lotus, orchid and jasmine. Nevertheless, if you prefer flowers that are unlisted, the team is willing to help. Meanwhile, entertainment choices range from a DJ on the beach to a string quartet for a walk down the aisle. To get you in the mood prior to the ceremony, why not attend a Blessing Night Spa Ritual or Couples Yoga?
